The 2005 X-NOISE Seminar has been organised

The 2005 seminar has been organised in Vilnius (Lithuania). Aviation, in the Baltic region, is developing faster than any predicted forecast and noise issue from the aviation sector is a very important subject.
67 people attend the seminar from 17 countries, with two objectives:
- to identify research needs emerging from current noise mapping practices and build up 2020 roadmap for noise mapping techniques
- to establish a potential Network of Excellence.
The Vilnius seminar had two keynote invited speakers, one representing the EC and the other one giving insights on aviation noise mapping from outside of EC .
